Oh, I must make sure everyone I know has the chance to see this. Especially my friends who own sheep.
That was great. It also reminds me of my theory of how the Welsh language got that way. You see, the ancient Welsh sheared their literature into sheep. And one day, a plague struck, wiping out all the vowel-bearing sheep.
Look, I was an insanely high college student when I came up with that I never claimed it was a good theory.
The one I heard was that, while the Scots and Irish were out stealing cattle, the Welsh were stealing consonants from other people’s languages. I think the Hawaiians and the Finns got the leftover vowels.
