  • Performed program expansion, outreach, and troubleshooting by phone
  • Wrote emails and phone scripts to communicate with co-workers, personnel, and other agencies
  • Worked the phones to motivate, advise, and inform personnel; persuade potential training hosts; recruit volunteers for special assignments; and solve the problems that made people feel confused, angry, or frustrated with the Census
  • Conducted job interviews so the office could hire 1400 people in about two weeks
  • Guided new hires through process of fingerprinting, training, and assignment
  • Tracked locations of traveling enumerators
  • Supported Field Ops and Administration departments
  • Maintained and updated Excel spreadsheets, meeting schedules, Oracle databases, and proprietary software
