- Performed program expansion, outreach, and troubleshooting by phone
- Wrote emails and phone scripts to communicate with co-workers, personnel, and other agencies
- Worked the phones to motivate, advise, and inform personnel; persuade potential training hosts; recruit volunteers for special assignments; and solve the problems that made people feel confused, angry, or frustrated with the Census
- Conducted job interviews so the office could hire 1400 people in about two weeks
- Guided new hires through process of fingerprinting, training, and assignment
- Tracked locations of traveling enumerators
- Supported Field Ops and Administration departments
- Maintained and updated Excel spreadsheets, meeting schedules, Oracle databases, and proprietary software
